The FCT Group consists of several Swiss occupational benefits institutions. The purpose of those institutions is to provide custom solutions for insureds and companies.
The FCT Group is able to offer attractively priced asset management services by pooling assets, which total more than CHF 7 billion for the FCT Group as a whole, and through its open-architecture and institutional asset management approach, which guarantees that our insureds get the best solutions. Asset management costs can also be reduced by using index-tracking products. This transparent, efficient approach allows us to offer attractive terms while ensuring effective, high-performance asset management.
Insureds affiliated to the FCT 1e can make their initial choice of investment strategy at any time on the secure portal. By completing a questionnaire, they can identify their risk tolerance, enabling them to select the investment strategy that suits them best. Subsequently, they can change their investment strategy on a monthly basis by selecting from the various ones available: the FCT 1e does not charge any transaction fee for this.
The FCT Group offers several investment models, ranging from turnkey strategies to fully customised ones. The Pension Committees of our affiliated funds benefit from all the flexibility of the open-architecture approach, and are not dependent on any asset manager.
For insureds affiliated to our FCT joint or company solutions, investment strategies are established by the Board of Trustees or the Pension Committee. Insureds affiliated to the FCT 1e can select one of up to 10 investment strategies for the individual management of their pension assets.
In Switzerland, every employer must provide occupational benefits coverage to its employees in accordance with the LPP/BVG pensions act. Coverage is mandatory and enables insureds to build up savings capital for their retirement. The occupational benefit plan also covers insureds and their loved ones against the risks of disability and death.
Details regarding selected strategies and investments for each type of occupational benefits solution are provided in the "Our solutions" section of our website. The secure portal provides insureds with all information about the investment strategies and investments of their pension fund.
You can get an overview of the pension plans of the solutions on offer by clicking on the “Occupational benefit plan” tab in the selected solution.
All solutions offered by the FCT are fully reinsured in terms of death and disability risks. The risk benefits of the occupational benefit plan selected by the company are fully covered by reinsurance. Reinsurance is provided by a renowned insurance company that is regulated and supervised by FINMA (the Swiss financial market supervisory authority), ensuring that the cover is solid and reliable.
The 1e solution gives eligible insureds greater freedom in managing the investments making up their pension assets, in accordance with legal requirements. It also allows companies to reduce the occupational benefit liabilities on their balance sheets, while offering suitable and attractive benefits to insureds with an income of more than CHF 136,080 (2025 figure).
